සේරුවාවිල මහ සෑ ගිරි (Seruvila MangalaRaja Maha Viharaya)
Devadåtasuttaü Ý Celestial messengers(Lord Buddha Says About The Hell)
Bhikkhus, these three are the celestial messengers. What three? Here bhikkhus, a certain one misconducts himself by body, verbally and mentally and after death is born in decrease, in a bad state in hell. The warders of hell take him by his limbs and show him to their king and tell him: Lord, this one did not care for his mother, father, recluses, ones leading the holy life or his elders, mete him punishment.
The king of the under world cross questions him, asks for reasons and converses with him: `Good man did you not see the first celestial messenger appearing among humans?'
`Sir, I did not see.' The king of the under world, then asks him thus: `Good man did you not see among humans a woman or a man, eighty, ninety or a hundred years old, bent like the framework of a roof, going supported on a stick and shivering, sick, his youthfulness gone, teeth broken and hair turned grey and most of it gone and with wrinkles on the body?'
Then he says. `I saw sir.'
Then the king of the under world asks him. `Good man, you being an intelligent man grown old, didn't it occur to you, I too have not gone beyond decay, therefore I should do good by body, words and mind?'
Then he says. `Sir, I could not do owing to my negligence.'
The king of the under world says to him: `On account of negligence you did not do the right, by body, speech and mind. That demerit was not done by mother, father, brother, sister, friends, associates, blood relations, by gods, recluses or brahmins. It was done by you and you will experience its results in return.
The king of the under world then cross questions him, asks for reasons and converses with him about the second messenger: `Good man, did you not see the second celestial messenger appearing among humans?'
`Sir, I did not see.' The king of the under world, then asks him thus: `Good man did you not see among humans a woman or man, gravely ill feeling unpleasant sunk in his own urine and excreta, raised and placed on his bed by others?'
Then he says. `I saw sir.'
Then the king of the under world asks him. `Good man, you being an intelligent man grown old, didn't it occur to you, I too have not gone beyond illness, therefore I should do good by body, words and mind?'
Then he says. `Sir, I could not do owing to my negligence.'
The king of the under world says to him: `On account of negligence you did not do the right, by body, speech and mind. That demerit was not done by mother, father, brother, sister, friends, associates, blood relations, by gods, recluses or brahmins. It was done by you and you will experience its results in return.
The king of the under world cross questions him, asks for reasons and converses with him about the third celestial messenger: `Good man did you not see the third celestial messenger appearing among humans?'
`Sir, I did not see.' The king of the under world, then asks him thus: `Good man did you not see among humans a woman or man dead, one day, two days, three days, or blue, bloated and festering?'
Then he says. `I saw sir.'
Then the king of the under world asks him. `Good man, you being an intelligent man grown old, didn't it occur to you, I too have not gone beyond death, therefore I should do good by body, words and mind?'
Then he says. `Sir, I could not do owing to my negligence.'
The king of the under world says to him: `On account of negligence you did not do the right, by body, speech and mind. That demerit was not done by mother, father, brother, sister, friends, associates, blood relations, by gods, recluses or brahmins. It was done by you and you will experience its results in return.
The king of the under world having cross questioned, asked for reasons and conversed with him about the celestial messenger becomes silent.
Then the warders of hell give him the fivefold punishment. They fix a burning iron peg to each of his hands, and two others to each of his feet and another piercing his chest. On account of it he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
Then the warders of hell lead him and cut him with a knife and he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die, until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
Then the warders of hell hang him head downwards and work on him with a hatchet, he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
Then the warders of hell tie him to a cart and make him run to and fro on a ground that is ablaze with fire, he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
Then the warders of hell make him climb up and come down a lofty rock which is blazing with fire, he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
The warders of hell then take him by his feet and throw him to a boiling molten pot. He gets boiled in its foam, while getting boiled he sometimes dives into it and comes out of it, swims across it. On account of it he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
The warders of hell then put him in the great hell. It is thus
It has four doors in the four cornered squares, divided and subdivided.
All round is an iron wall and an iron roof on top
Its iron floor is burning all the time
It spread for seven hundred miles and stands there all the time.
Bhikkhus, these words are not another recluse's or brahmin's words, I myself knowing seeing and experiencing them,
They see fear in clinging to birth, death and being
And destroying these, seek release without holding
They are the appeased and pleasant, extinguished here and now
Gone beyond animosity, fear and all unpleasàntness.

සැලකිය යුතුය - සතර අපායික සත්වයින්ගේ ආයු ප්රමාණ නියමයක් නැත.නරකයේ උපන් සත්වයින්ට කර්මයේ ප්රමාණය ආයු ප්රමාණය වේ.සෙසු අපායික සත්වයිනටද එසේමය.බූමාටු දෙවියන්ටද කර්මය අනුව ආයුෂය ප්රමාණ වේ.එහෙත් සමහර බූමාටු දෙවියන් සතියක්,අඩමසක්,මාසයක් ඇතැම්හු කල්පයක්ද සිටින්නාහ.
බඹ තලයේ සිට මනුලොවට දුර උපමා කොට දැක්වීම - අනුරපුර ලෝහ ප්රසාදය තරම් ශෛලමය පර්වතයක් පළමු බඹ තලයේ සිට මහපොළොවට හෙළන ලද්දේ නම් සතර මාසයකින් මිහිපිට පතිත වන බව දැක්වේ.
මහ පොළොවේ පිහිටීම - මනුෂ්ය,ප්රේත,අසුර,තිරිසන
960000 ක් ඝන වා පොලොවෙන් උසුලා සිටී.ඒ වාතය උසුලා සිටින අජටාකාෂය අනන්ත අපරියන්තයි.
තල එකිනෙක පිළිබද විස්කරය මෙතැන් සිට....
මෙම සක්වල කොටස් 3කට බෙදිය හැක.ඒ නම් කාම ලෝක,රූප ලෝක සහ අරූප ලෝකයි.කාම ලෝක 11 ක්ද රූප ලෝක 16 ක්ද,අරූප ලෝක 4 ක්ද මේ සක්වල තුළ පිහිටා ඇත.මෙයින් කාම හා රූප යන ලෝකවල
පඤ්චස්කන්ධය පවතී*.
බුදු දහමෙ වර්ගිකරණයට අනුව එක් සක්වලක් (මෙක ලෝක ධාතුවක් කියලයි හදුන්වන්නේ) හෙවත් එක් ඉරකින් හා හදකින් එලිය වෙන එක ලෝකධාතුවක සත්ත්වයින් ජීවත් වන භුමි 31 ක් ඇති බව කියල තියෙනවා. ඒ කියන්නේ අපේ මෙ ඉරින් හා හදින් අපේ ලෝකය ආලෝකමත් වෙනවා වගේ තවත් ජිවින් ජිවත් වන භුමි 31 ක් අපේ මෙ ඉරෙන් හදෙන් ආලෝකය ලබනවා කියන එකයි.
කාම ලෝක කියන්නෙ මේවා.
ඒවා වන්නේ නරකය, තිරිසන්යොනිය, ප්රේතවිශය, අසුරකාය කියා අපාය ලෝක 04 යි.(දුගති භූමි 04)
මනුෂ්ය භූමියයි, චතුර්මහාරාජික භුමිය, තාවතිංස භුමිය, යාම භුමිය, තුෂිත භුමිය, නිර්මාණ රති භුමිය, පරනිර්මිත වශවර්තිභුමිය යනුවෙන් දෙවි ලෝක හයයි.සියලුම සුගති භූමි (07)කි.
රූප ලෝක කියන්නෙ මේවා.
බ්රහ්මපාරිසජ්ජය, බ්රහ්මපුරෝහිතය, මහාබ්රහ්මය යැයි ප්රථම ධ්යාන භුමි 03 යි.පරිත්තාභ, අප්පමාණභ, ආභස්සරය යැයි ද්ව්තිය ධ්යාන භුමි 03 කි.
පරිත්තසුභ, අප්පමාණසුභ, සුභකිණ්ණය යැයි තෘතිය ධ්යාන භුමි 03 යි.
වෙහප්ඵලය, අසඤ්ඤසත්තය යැයි චතුර්ථ ධ්යාන භුමි 02 කි.
අවිහ, අතප්ප, සුදස්ස, සුදස්සී, අකනිටිඨ යනුවෙන් සුද්ධාවාස භුමි 05 කි.
අරූප ලෝක කියන්නෙ මේවා.

දක්වාම සියලුම දෙවියන් සාධුකාර දෙන බව ධර්මයෙහි ඇතැම් දේශනා වලින් ප්රකට වේ.නමුත් එක් බුදුවරයෙකුගේ ආඥා
චක්රය අප මේ කතාකරමින් සිටින සක්වල කෝටි ලක්ෂයක් පුරා පැතිර ඇත)
අරූප ලෝක
ආනෙඤ්ජාභි සංස්කාර හෙවත් අරූප ධ්යාන වැඩූ භාවනා කුසල කර්ම විපාක තුළින් මේවායේ උපදී.අරූප බ්රහ්ම තල 4කි.මේවා චතුවෝකාර භූමි ලෙස හදුන්වයි.(ඇත්තේ ස්කන්ධ 4කි).අකනිට්ඨක රූප බඹ ලොවට යොදුන් 5508000 ක් ඉහළින් මෙහි පළමු අරූප ලෝකයවනආකාසානඤ්චායතනය පිහිටා ඇත.ඉන්පසු යොදුන් 5508000 බැගින් ඉහළට වන විට අනෙකුත් බඹ ලෝක හමුවේ.අපේ සක්වලෙහි ඉහලින්ම ඇත්තේ නේවසඤ්ඤානාසඤ්ඤයතන නම් අරූප ලොවයි.
දැන් මේ එක් එක් අරූප ලෝකයන්හි ආයුෂ විමසා බලමු.
ආකාසානඤ්චායතනය - මහා කල්ප 20000
විඤ්ඤාණඤ්චායතන - මහා කල්ප 40000
ආකිඤ්චඤ්ඤායතන - මහා කල්ප මහා කල්ප 60000
නේවසඤ්ඤානාසඤ්ඤයතන - මහා කල්ප 84000
එක් සක්වලක ඇත්තේ පෙර පැහැදිලි කල තල 31ක ප්රමාණය පමණි.
දැන් ඒ ඒ විශේෂිත ලෝකයන්හි කෙටි අර්ථ දැක්විමකට යොමු වෙමු.
1.අපාය භූමි - පුණ්ය සම්මත අය කෙරෙන් ඉවත් වූයේ යන අර්ථයෙන් අපාය නම් වේ.
2.සුගති - අනේකවිධ සැපත් ඇතිව යා යුතු ,ඉපදිය යුතු තැන සුගතියයි.
3.තිරිසන් - සැපයට හරස් වූ තැන බැවින්ද,සැම ඉරියව්වක්ම හරහට පැවතෙන බැවින්ද තිරිසන් නම් වේ.
4.මනුෂ්ය - ස්මෘතිය,ශූර භාවය,බ්රහ්මචර්යාවට සුදුසු බව ආදි ගුණයෙන් උසස් මනසක් ඇති බැවින්ද මනුෂ්ය නම් වේ.
5.චාතුර්මහා රාජිකය - සතරවරම් දෙවිවරුන්ගේ වාසස්ථාන භූමිය වූ බැවින්
6.තාවතිංස - මඝ මානවක තුමා සමග කුසල් රැස්කල තෙතිස් දෙනා උපන් භූමිය (ශක්ර භූමිය)
7.යාම - දුකින් ඉවත් වූවෝ යන අර්ථයෙන්
8.තුසිත - ස්වකිය සැප සම්පත් වලින් තුෂ්ඨිමක් වූවෝ යන අර්ථයෙන්
9.නිම්මාණරති - තමන් මවාගත් සම්පත්තියෙන් සතුටු වන ඇලුම් කරන යන අර්ථයෙන්
10.පරිනිම්මිත වසවත්ති - අනුන් මවා දෙන සම්පත් විදින
11.බ්රහ්මපාරිසජ්ජ - මහා බ්රහ්මයන්ගේ පිරිවර වසන
12.බ්රහ්මපුරෝහිත - මහා බ්රහ්මයන්ගේ පුරෝහිත ස්ථාන
13.මහා බ්රහ්ම - ප්රථම ධ්යානාදී ගුණ ප්රණීත ලෙස වැඩුනු බැවින්
14.පරිත්තාභ - ආභස්සර බහ්මයන්ට වඩා අඩු ආලෝක ඇති බැවින්
15.අප්පමාණභ - පරිත්තාභ බ්රහ්මයන්ට වඩා අප්රමාණ ආලෝක ඇති බැවින්
16.ආභස්සර - හාත්පස නිරතුරුවම විහිදෙන ආලෝක ඇති බැවින්
17.පරිත්ත සුභ - ඒක ඝන වූ ආලෝක උපරිතල බ්රහ්මයන්ට වඩා අඩු බැවින්
18.අප්පමාණ සුභ - පර්ත්තාභ සුභ වාසීන්ට වඩා ඒක ඝන ආලෝක ඇති බැවින්
19.සුභකිණ්හක - ශරීරාලෝකයෙන් අතිශයින් අකීර්ණක බැවින්
20.වෙහප්ඵල - විපුල වූ ධ්යනානිශංස ඇති බැවින්
21.අසඤ්ඤසත්ත - සංඥා විරාග භාවනාවෙන් නිරුද්ධ වූ චිත්ත සන්තාන ඇති බැවින්
22.සුද්ධාවාස - අනාගාමී ශුද්ධවන්තයින්ගේ වාසස්ථාන භූමි වූ බැවින්
23.අවීයහ - සුලු කලකින් ස්ථාන අත් නොහරින බැවින්
24.අතප්ප - තැවීම් කිසිත් නැති බැවින්
25.සුදස්ස - පරම සුන්දර සැප ඇති බැවින්
26.සුදස්සී - අතිශයින් පිරිසිදු දැකිම් ඇති බැවින්
27.අකනිට්ඨ - කිසිවෙකුට කනිටු නොවන බැවින්
සක්වල විභංගය අවසානයි.මෙම ලිපිය නිර්මාණය කල අපටත් කියවු ඔබටත් නිවනින්ම සදා සැනසෙන්නට හැකියාව ලැබේවා...

Devadåtasuttaü Ý Celestial messengers(Lord Buddha Says About The Hell)
Bhikkhus, these three are the celestial messengers. What three? Here bhikkhus, a certain one misconducts himself by body, verbally and mentally and after death is born in decrease, in a bad state in hell. The warders of hell take him by his limbs and show him to their king and tell him: Lord, this one did not care for his mother, father, recluses, ones leading the holy life or his elders, mete him punishment.
The king of the under world cross questions him, asks for reasons and converses with him: `Good man did you not see the first celestial messenger appearing among humans?'
`Sir, I did not see.' The king of the under world, then asks him thus: `Good man did you not see among humans a woman or a man, eighty, ninety or a hundred years old, bent like the framework of a roof, going supported on a stick and shivering, sick, his youthfulness gone, teeth broken and hair turned grey and most of it gone and with wrinkles on the body?'
Then he says. `I saw sir.'
Then the king of the under world asks him. `Good man, you being an intelligent man grown old, didn't it occur to you, I too have not gone beyond decay, therefore I should do good by body, words and mind?'
Then he says. `Sir, I could not do owing to my negligence.'
The king of the under world says to him: `On account of negligence you did not do the right, by body, speech and mind. That demerit was not done by mother, father, brother, sister, friends, associates, blood relations, by gods, recluses or brahmins. It was done by you and you will experience its results in return.
The king of the under world then cross questions him, asks for reasons and converses with him about the second messenger: `Good man, did you not see the second celestial messenger appearing among humans?'
`Sir, I did not see.' The king of the under world, then asks him thus: `Good man did you not see among humans a woman or man, gravely ill feeling unpleasant sunk in his own urine and excreta, raised and placed on his bed by others?'
Then he says. `I saw sir.'
Then the king of the under world asks him. `Good man, you being an intelligent man grown old, didn't it occur to you, I too have not gone beyond illness, therefore I should do good by body, words and mind?'
Then he says. `Sir, I could not do owing to my negligence.'
The king of the under world says to him: `On account of negligence you did not do the right, by body, speech and mind. That demerit was not done by mother, father, brother, sister, friends, associates, blood relations, by gods, recluses or brahmins. It was done by you and you will experience its results in return.
The king of the under world cross questions him, asks for reasons and converses with him about the third celestial messenger: `Good man did you not see the third celestial messenger appearing among humans?'
`Sir, I did not see.' The king of the under world, then asks him thus: `Good man did you not see among humans a woman or man dead, one day, two days, three days, or blue, bloated and festering?'
Then he says. `I saw sir.'
Then the king of the under world asks him. `Good man, you being an intelligent man grown old, didn't it occur to you, I too have not gone beyond death, therefore I should do good by body, words and mind?'
Then he says. `Sir, I could not do owing to my negligence.'
The king of the under world says to him: `On account of negligence you did not do the right, by body, speech and mind. That demerit was not done by mother, father, brother, sister, friends, associates, blood relations, by gods, recluses or brahmins. It was done by you and you will experience its results in return.
The king of the under world having cross questioned, asked for reasons and conversed with him about the celestial messenger becomes silent.
Then the warders of hell give him the fivefold punishment. They fix a burning iron peg to each of his hands, and two others to each of his feet and another piercing his chest. On account of it he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
Then the warders of hell lead him and cut him with a knife and he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die, until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
Then the warders of hell hang him head downwards and work on him with a hatchet, he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
Then the warders of hell tie him to a cart and make him run to and fro on a ground that is ablaze with fire, he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
Then the warders of hell make him climb up and come down a lofty rock which is blazing with fire, he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
The warders of hell then take him by his feet and throw him to a boiling molten pot. He gets boiled in its foam, while getting boiled he sometimes dives into it and comes out of it, swims across it. On account of it he feels sharp, rough unpleasant feelings, but does not die until the results of that evil action gets exhausted.
The warders of hell then put him in the great hell. It is thus
All round is an iron wall and an iron roof on top
Its iron floor is burning all the time
It spread for seven hundred miles and stands there all the time.
Bhikkhus, these words are not another recluse's or brahmin's words, I myself knowing seeing and experiencing them,
And destroying these, seek release without holding
They are the appeased and pleasant, extinguished here and now
Gone beyond animosity, fear and all unpleasàntness.

We have learnt that appearance of a Buddha is a very rare incident.It is a rare opportunity that we could born in a Buddha dispensation with the ability of practicing Dharma.So we should think of not loosing that great benefit and get the ultimate protection within this Buddha dispensation permanently.
